Duplex printing is the ability to print on both sides of a page automatically in one pass.
Duplex printing is the ability of a printer or MFP to print on both sides of a page automatically in a single pass, without the user manually flipping the paper.
Automatic duplex is standard on most business-grade MFPs, including the Toshiba eStudio range, and it halves paper use for double-sided documents such as reports, contracts, and stapled packs.
Manual duplex requires the user to reinsert the page, which introduces misalignment errors on long runs.
For businesses printing client report packs, legal documents, or clinical records at volume, automatic duplex is a baseline requirement.
